This is the functional role of the Facilities Management (whether it is a stand-alone department or a small team) to coordinate and oversee the environmentally sound and safe operations and preservation of these assets in an efficient and inexpensive manner aimed at achieving long-term preservation of the value of the assets. In those cases where the operation of the facilities directly involves the occupants and/or customers of the owning organization, the satisfactory delivery of related service facilities to these people is very important, and therefore, the term “end user satisfaction” is often used as an objective and a measure of performance.
